Description
DZNS Refractory SiC 1600 is an ultra-high-temperature silicon carbide refractory concrete in the form of a dry packaged mixture, designed for use in extreme temperatures up to 1600 °C, intense abrasive wear, aggressive gas flows and sudden thermal shocks. Due to its high silicon carbide (SiC) content, the material combines exceptional wear resistance, high thermal conductivity and thermal stability, making it the flagship product in the DZNS special refractories range.
Temperature stability
- Maximum operating temperature: up to 1600 °C
- Recommended operating temperature: up to 1500 °C
Scope of application
Used for:
- Lining of high-temperature furnaces and boilers;
- Areas with extreme abrasive wear;
- Gas ducts and chimneys with high gas velocity;
- Waste incineration plants;
- Metallurgical and power units;
- Continuous thermal installations;
- Areas of direct thermal and gas exposure.
Features of silicon carbide concrete
The material is specially designed for:
- Operation at ultra-high temperatures;
- Operation in conditions of high abrasive load;
- Exposure to aggressive gases and combustion products;
- High thermal conductivity (efficient heat transfer);
- Abrupt and repeated thermal cycles;
- Prolonged continuous operation.
Main advantages
- Ultra-high heat resistance up to 1600 °C
- Exceptional abrasive wear resistance
- High thermal conductivity
- Excellent thermal shock resistance
- Resistance to aggressive gas environments
- Minimal shrinkage even at high temperatures
- Long-term operation in the most severe conditions
Technical features:
- Material type: dry concrete mix;
- Structure: dense, silicon carbide;
- Binder: special ultra-high temperature mineral;
- Filler: high-purity silicon carbide (SiC) and refractory filler;
- Behaviour when heated: stable, without degradation or loss of strength.
Recommendations for use
- Mix with clean water until a homogeneous plastic mass is obtained;
- Apply to a thoroughly cleaned and prepared surface;
- Avoid rapid drying after application;
- Perform the first heating in stages and in a controlled manner, with a gradual increase in temperature.
Packaging:
- Bag — 25 kg
