Description
DZNS Refractory Sugar 1500 is a specialised high-temperature refractory concrete in the form of a dry packaged mixture, designed for the most heavily loaded and hottest areas of sugar factories with operating temperatures up to 1500 °C. The material is adapted to the conditions of high humidity, steam, aggressive production environment and intense thermal cycles characteristic of the sugar industry.
Temperature resistance
- Maximum operating temperature: up to 1500 °C
- Recommended operating temperature: up to 1400 °C
Scope of application (sugar production):
Used for:
- Lining of high-temperature zones of thermal units in sugar factories;
- Furnace chambers and areas of direct thermal impact;
- Drying units and heat generators;
- Firing chambers and thermal departments;
- Gas ducts and chimneys with intense heat load;
- Critical areas of operating sugar factories.
Features of operation in sugar factories
The material is specially adapted to:
- Constant exposure to steam and condensate;
- High air humidity;
- Frequent starts and stops of equipment;
- Sudden and repeated temperature changes;
- Chemically active production environment.
Main advantages
- Stable operation in wet and steam environments
- High heat resistance up to 1500 °C
- Increased resistance to intense thermal cycles
- Minimal shrinkage even at high temperatures
- High adhesion to mineral and metal substrates
- Long-term operation in the harsh conditions of sugar production
Technical features
- Material type: dry concrete mix;
- Structure: dense, homogeneous, heat-resistant;
- Binder: special high-temperature mineral, resistant to moisture and steam;
- Filler: high-purity refractory mineral filler;
- Behaviour when heated: stable, without loss of strength or delamination.
Recommendations for use
- Mix with clean water until a homogeneous plastic mass is obtained;
- Apply to a thoroughly cleaned and prepared surface;
- Ensure smooth and controlled initial heating;
- Avoid sudden temperature changes during the initial stage of operation.
Packaging
- Bag — 25 kg
- BigBag — 1000 kg (with polypropylene liner for moisture protection)
