Description
PPIK-78 periclase powder is a refractory powder material based on periclase with a reduced magnesium oxide content, designed for use in refractory mixtures and masses operating in high-temperature and moderately aggressive metallurgical environments. The material is characterised by stable chemical composition, good processability and uniform dispersibility.
PPIK-78 powder is used as a raw material component in the production of dry refractory mixtures, ramming and repair masses, as well as unshaped refractory materials. The controlled particle size distribution ensures convenient dosing, good compactability and stable performance characteristics of the finished refractories. Due to its balanced composition, PPIK-78 interlayer powder demonstrates reliable thermal stability, resistance to temperature changes and satisfactory slag resistance during long-term operation of metallurgical unit linings.
Scope of application
- production of dry refractory mixtures and masses
- manufacture of unshaped refractory materials
- repair of linings of metallurgical units
- steel-making and electric arc furnaces
