Description
PPE-88 periclase powder is a highly refractory powdered material based on periclase with a high magnesium oxide content, designed for use in metallurgy and the refractory industry. The material is characterised by high thermal stability, resistance to aggressive slags and melts, as well as stable physical and chemical properties.
PPE-88 powder is used as a raw material component in the production of moulded and unmoulded refractory products, dry mixes, ramming and repair masses. The finely dispersed structure ensures good workability, uniform distribution in mixtures and stable properties of finished refractories. Due to its high MgO content, PPE-88 powder retains its strength and refractoriness during prolonged operation under extreme temperatures and intense chemical exposure.
Scope of application
- production of refractory mixtures and masses
- manufacture of moulded refractory products
- repair and lining of metallurgical units
- steel-making and electric arc furnaces
