Description
Mortel MMK-85 is a highly refractory dry mix for preparing masonry and repair mortars when working with corundum and high-alumina refractory materials operated in extreme temperature conditions. The composition is designed to create the strongest and most stable joint possible, which retains its properties during prolonged heating and aggressive thermal loads. The mixture is finely ground and highly homogeneous, which makes the mortar plastic, easy to apply and ensures a tight fit of refractory products. After hardening, the mortar forms a dense refractory bond with increased resistance to thermal shock, spalling and gas flows. MMK-85 is used for lining furnaces, steel casting and heating units, reactors, firing chambers and other installations where corundum and high-alumina refractories with a high Al₂O₃ content are used.
